Once at the summit we will descend the Gouter route. Winding down the Bosses Ridge toward the Vallot shelter and down the snowfields to the hut.
Day 6: Descent
The most popular route, the Goûter Route, takes climbers through some of the most dramatic terrain in the Alps. From the Nid d'Aigle, the route winds up through the Grand Couloir, a notorious section of exposed couloir prone to rockfall, before reaching the relative safety of the Goûter Hut at 3,835 metres.
